Easy Gingerbread Recipe for an Ultimate Christmas Day Activity

This gingerbread recipe is a perfect choice to spend the day with the kids in the kitchen before Christmas. While later, you can enjoy the gingerbread with the rest of the family at Christmas.
The smell of gingerbread filling the kitchen is something that we quite like, as the lovely and warm smell will complete the taste of the gingerbread.
So, here are a few ingredients you’ll need:
- 75 g butter
- 3 ½ tbsp. golden sugar
- 60 g light soft brown sugar
- 175 g plain flour
- ¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 2 tsp ground ginger
And, follow these few steps below:
- Add butter, golden syrup, and light brown sugar to a pan. Stir on a low heat until it dissolved
- Add flour, bicarbonate of soda and ginger to a mixing bowl. Stir together, and pour the sugar-butter mixture.
- Stir to form a dough (use hands for easier mixing)
- Wrap in film and let chill for about 30 minutes to firm up
- Lay the dough between two sheets of baking parchment. Press the dough lightly with a rolling pin.
- Cut out the shapes using a biscuit cutter.
- Bake at 190oC for about 10 minutes, until lightly golden brown.
- The biscuits won’t be firm but will harden when left to cool outside the oven.
